Clovis police reported arresting four drivers on suspicion of driving under the influence during a Super Bowl Sunday saturation patrol on Sunday.
Police said additional officers were deployed that day with the goal of finding and arresting DUI drivers. In total, eight drivers were arrested on suspicion of DUI from Friday through Sunday, according to the department.
Clovis police urged the public to report suspected DUI or reckless driving by calling 911 and thanked those who planned ahead by using a designated sober driver or ride-share services.
The department said the enforcement detail was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
