Fire crews from the Hanford Fire Department and Visalia Fire Department were at the scene of an unknown chemical release involving a city of Hanford trash truck on Wednesday, authorities said.

The fire department urged the public to avoid the area of Lacey Boulevard and 9 1/2 Avenue while crews responded to the incident.
