OpenAI may have experienced a service outage Monday morning, according to Downdetector.com.

By 9:14 a.m. PT, about 1,000 users had reported issues with the platform, which tracks outages by collecting user reports from multiple sources.

OpenAI’s status page indicated that ChatGPT availability had degraded for free and logged-out users and that the company was investigating the issue, which began around 8:49 a.m. PST.

Most users reporting problems to Downdetector said they were having trouble accessing ChatGPT.

Update:

As of 9:59 a.m., OpenAI’s status page says that ChatGPT is now operating normally.
