Fresno Shooting Leaves 19-Year-Old Man Dead, Police Investigating

Fresno police are investigating a homicide after a 19-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday night at a business complex near Dakota and Hughes avenues.

Officers with the Central Policing District responded to the area around 9:12 p.m. and found Joe Rodriguez suffering from a gunshot wound, the Fresno Police Department said in a statement.

He died at the scene.

Homicide detectives believe a disturbance involving multiple people occurred before the shooting. Investigators are canvassing the neighborhood and are asking witnesses to come forward.

Correction: The Fresno Police Department updated their news release to say that Rodriguez died at the scene.
