A Fresno man pleaded guilty Monday to possessing with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced.
Isaac James Ocejo, 22, admitted to mailing packages containing methamphetamine and fentanyl from Fresno to addresses in other states between July 2023 and October 2024, shipping more than 10 kilograms of methamphetamine in total.
Ocejo also sold large quantities of methamphetamine locally. In September 2024, he and others brought 15 pounds of the drug, packaged in 1-pound bags, to Trolley Creek Park in Fresno, where they sold 10 pounds in broad daylight.
Ocejo and co-defendant Isaac Joseph Estrada were charged with 18 drug-trafficking counts. Estrada pleaded guilty in November 2025 and was sentenced to 46 months in prison.
The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Cody S. Chapple is prosecuting the case.
Ocejo is scheduled to be sentenced April 20, by U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Thurston. He faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years in prison and a maximum of life, with the final sentence determined by the court.
