Deputies with the Kern County Sheriff’s Office arrested 17 people during an enforcement operation in the Oildale area of Bakersfield, authorities said.
The operation was conducted Friday by the Sheriff’s Office Metro Patrol Division, with assistance from Kern County Code Compliance, Kern County Mental Health and Flood Ministries.
Authorities reported eight felony arrests and nine misdemeanor arrests during the operation. Deputies also recovered a stolen vehicle.
In addition to enforcement efforts, deputies assisted Kern County Code Compliance with the removal of approximately four tons of waste and debris from the area, the Sheriff’s Office said.
