Microsoft Down for Thousands of Users, Downdetector Reports

Microsoft experienced a possible outage Thursday, with thousands of users reporting issues, according to Downdetector.com.

More than 2,000 users reported problems with Microsoft Outlook on Downdetector at the time of publication, along with more than 1,500 reports involving Microsoft 365 and nearly 300 each for the Microsoft Store and Microsoft Teams.

Most users reporting issues with Microsoft Outlook say they are having an issue with receiving messages.

The Microsoft 365 Status account on X issued a statement, “We’ve identified a portion of service infrastructure in North America that is not processing traffic as expected. We’re working to restore the infrastructure to a healthy state to achieve recovery.”

Update at 11:50 a.m.

More than 8,750 users have reported issues with Microsoft Outlook, along with 6,700 for Microsoft 365, 1,000 for the Microsoft Store, and 800 for Microsoft Teams.

Update at 11:57 a.m.

More than 14,000 users have reported an issue with Microsoft Outlook. Nearly 10,000 users reported problems with Microsoft 365, 1,500 for the Microsoft Store, and 800 for Microsoft Teams.

Update at 12:04 p.m.

More than 20,000 users have now reported an issue with Microsoft Outlook. Nearly 16,000 have reported an issue with Microsoft 365, more than 2,000 for the Microsoft Store, and more than a 800 for Microsoft Teams

Update at 12:12 p.m.

More than 25,000 users have reported an issue with Microsoft Outlook. More than 22,000 users have reported an issue with Microsoft 365, more than 3,000 for the Microsoft Store, and nearly a 1,000 for Microsoft Teams.

Update at 12:20 p.m.

Nearly 30,000 users have reported an issue with Microsoft Outlook. More than 31,000 users have reported an issue with Microsoft 365, more than 4,000 for the Microsoft Store, and more than 1,100 for Microsoft Teams.

Nearly 40,000 users have reported an issue with Microsoft Outlook. More than 45,000 users have reported an issue with Microsoft 365, nearly 6,000 for the Microsoft Store, and more than 1,800 for Microsoft Teams.
