A Visalia man was sentenced Wednesday to 58 years and eight months in prison for molesting a child, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said.

Armando Montero, 34, pleaded no contest on Dec. 4, 2025, to 11 counts of child molestation and two counts of possessing child pornography.

The 11 molestation counts were considered strikes under California’s Three Strikes law. Montero admitted the crimes were serious and involved substantial sexual conduct.

The offenses occurred between 2016 and 2024 against a single female victim under the age of 14 in Visalia.

Montero also has a prior strike conviction for robbery in 2009 and must register as a sex offender for life.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Chelsea Wayt and investigated by the Visalia Police Department.
