Clovis police arrested a 21-year-old man after responding to a reported gun disturbance at a home in the 300 block of West Ashcroft Avenue just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers were dispatched after a caller reported that someone inside the home was brandishing a handgun. Police said officers ensured the adult male suspect was alone inside the residence and that everyone else had exited, then obtained a search warrant after the suspect refused to come out.

Police said officers entered the home and found the suspect, identified as Jordan Casillas of Clovis, hiding in the crawl space underneath the residence. Casillas was found with a loaded handgun that had been modified as an automatic weapon.

No one was injured and no shots were fired, police said. Casillas was booked into the Fresno County Jail on multiple felony charges, including possession of a loaded machine gun with an extended magazine and making criminal threats.
