Amazon is bringing back its popular “Thank My Driver” feature for the holidays, allowing customers to send appreciation, and even bonus pay, to delivery drivers with a simple voice command or search, the company said on Wednesday.

By saying “Alexa, thank my driver” or typing the phrase into the Amazon app or website, customers can notify the driver who handled their most recent delivery. Each thank-you will earn that driver $5 at no cost to the customer until 2 million messages are submitted.

After that milestone, the most-thanked drivers each day, including 1,000 Delivery Service Partner drivers, 200 Amazon Flex partners and 50 Hub associates, will be eligible for $100 awards through Dec. 31.

Amazon says the program, first launched in 2022, has generated more than 46 million thank-yous to date and continues to spotlight drivers, some who have received over 10,000 messages for their friendly, community-minded service.
