X, formerly Twitter, experienced an outage Friday, with thousands of users reporting issues, according to Downdetector.com.

More than 20,000 users had reported problems with the platform as of 8:20 a.m. PT, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collecting status reports from multiple sources.
