A Tulare County Sheriff’s Office K9 deputy discovered about 90 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop early Thursday on Highway 99, authorities said.

Deputies pulled over a silver Infiniti around 2:30 a.m. on Nov. 20 near Avenue 24 for a traffic violation, the sheriff’s office said. During a search of the vehicle, K9 Turbo alerted to two large trash bags containing the suspected meth.

The driver, Joel Hernandez-Antunez, 29, was detained. Detectives later served a search warrant at his home, where they seized an additional three kilos of suspected cocaine, officials said.
