Tulare police arrested a Visalia man Thursday in connection with a severe assault that left a man hospitalized.
Officers were called to the 800 block of East Sonora Avenue on Nov. 7 at about 8:15 p.m. for a reported assault. Upon arrival, they found a male victim who had been “severely” beaten with a blunt object. The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Investigators identified Isaiah Castro of Visalia as a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.
On Thursday, the Tulare Police Department SWAT team, with additional officers, served the warrant at a residence in the 2500 block of South Court Street in Visalia.
Castro was taken into custody without incident.
