Power lines are down between Glen and Calimyrna avenues in Merced, prompting a full street closure, authorities said Monday.

PG&E crews are on site working to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.

The Merced Police Department urged drivers to avoid the area, follow posted detours, and allow extra travel time.

No injuries were reported. Officials did not provide an estimated time for power restoration.
