A Visalia man was arrested Wednesday morning after police found methamphetamine, ammunition and a firearm inside his home, authorities said.
Officers with the Visalia Police Department’s Narcotics and Special Enforcement Unit served a search warrant around 8:30 a.m. on the 1100 block of South Mountain Street, where they contacted 59-year-old Bobby Castaneda, police said.
Investigators reported finding about two ounces of meth, signs of drug sales, ammunition and a .22-caliber firearm. Castaneda was taken to Kaweah Health for a medical evaluation before being booked into the Tulare County Jail on felony charges.
Police reminded residents to “stay safe and stay legal,” adding that Wednesday’s operation was part of ongoing efforts to address drug activity in the area.
