Sushi is a friendly, outgoing boy who’s full of personality and charm!
Adopted as a kitten with his sister Sasha, he’s recently come back to us through no fault of his own — his loving adopter had to move and sadly couldn’t take them along. Now Sushi is hoping to find a new forever family who will cherish him as much as he’ll cherish them!
Five-year-old Sushi loves attention and being part of the action. While he’s not quite a lap cat, he’s happiest when he’s right next to you on the couch, soaking up all the pets — especially those perfect scratches right by the base of his tail (his favorite!). He’s talkative, social, and absolutely loves when you talk back to him.
A Few More of Sushi’s Favorite Things
Playtime is always on his schedule — strings, laser toys, and anything that moves are fair game. He’s also a curious kitty who loves cozy spots like baskets or cat beds with sides, and he enjoys high-up perches where he can lounge like royalty.
Sushi also has a funny little quirk: He adores drinking from sinks and will happily wait for you to turn the faucet on just a little so he can enjoy his “fancy” water.
Some of his other favorites? Bird-watching from the windowsill, a nibble of tuna now and then (he knows the sound of a can opener!), and just being around people — especially kids. He also patiently had a complete dental cleaning and blood work to keep him adoption ready!
Sushi would love to be adopted with his sister Sasha, but he’s also confident enough to do well on his own in a loving home where he’ll be showered with attention and affection.
How to Adopt Sushi
To adopt Sushi or Sasha, or see other available cats and kittens, visit The Cat House on the Kings.
All adoptable animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for fleas, and litter-box trained. Thirty days of pet insurance is included with an adoption.
The nonprofit Cat House on the Kings is California’s largest no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center.
