A man accused of shooting at a home in Bodfish earlier this month has been arrested, authorities said.
The Kern County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were dispatched Oct. 18 to the 200 block of Jones Street after a suspect fired at an inhabited residence.
Investigators determined the suspect, identified as Michael Kemmeter, 29, intentionally shot at a female victim with the intent to kill.
Two minors were inside the home at the time, but no one was injured.
A warrant was issued for Kemmeter’s arrest on charges including attempted murder, assault with a firearm, and negligent discharge of a firearm. Deputies located and arrested him without incident on Oct. 23 in the 600 block of Laurel Drive.
A search of Kemmeter’s residence led to the discovery of multiple firearms and suspected narcotics, deputies said.
