A Fresno man wanted on a domestic violence warrant was arrested Saturday after officers spotted him leaning against a stolen vehicle, the Fresno Police Department told GV Wire.
According to Fresno Police Department arrest records, Naziere Black, 18, is a convicted felon who was out on bail.
Police said they saw Black around 4 p.m. near Jensen and Bardell avenues, where the vehicle he was leaning against had been reported stolen and belonged to his significant other. He attempted to flee when officers approached.
Black was booked on multiple charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle, firearm-related offenses, and domestic violence. His bail is set at $276,500, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office.
In addition to the stolen vehicle and domestic violence charges, Black was booked on multiple counts including carrying a concealed firearm in a vehicle, carrying a loaded firearm in public, possession of a firearm as a felon, prohibited possession of ammunition, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, committing a felony while on bail, obstructing a public officer, robbery, false imprisonment with violence, assault with a deadly weapon, corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant, and threatening a crime intended to terrorize.
Police said the domestic violence case remains active and confidential, preventing them from releasing additional details.
