Fresno’s first storm of the season dropped more than one inch of rain overnight Monday through 10 a.m. Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The storm also brought snow to Shaver Lake and higher Sierra elevations.
China Peak ski resort reported heavy snow Tuesday morning. You can view the resort’s mountain cams at this link.
China Peak, like many Sierra ski and snowboard operators, is projecting a Nov. 28 opening for the 2025-26 season.

The Weather Ahead
A Winter Storm Warning in effect through 5 p.m. today.
In addition, a Flood Watch will continue through 5 p.m. for the Sierra Nevada foothills.
The NWS forecast calls for continued rain through tonight followed by clear skies on Wednesday.
After that, it will be mostly sunny weather through Sunday with highs in the 70s and lows in the 50s.
Come Monday, NWS says, there is a chance that Valley locations will receive a sprinkling of rain.
