Two adults were killed early Monday in a two-vehicle crash involving an unlicensed juvenile driver at Avenue 16 and Road 23, according to the Madera Police Department.

Officers responded just before 6 a.m. and found a male juvenile standing outside one vehicle while two adults were trapped inside the other. Emergency crews began life-saving measures, but both adults died from their injuries.

Police said the juvenile was driving eastbound on Avenue 16 with his headlights off when he ran a stop sign and struck the vehicle carrying the two adults.
