An hour-long shelter-in-place order at Clovis North Educational Center was lifted Thursday after law enforcement determined there was no risk to student safety, according to the Clovis Unified School District.

District officials said the original phone call that prompted the safety measures showed signs of being a non-credible threat but emphasized that all potential risks to students are taken seriously.

Officials said police conducted a thorough search of the campus before confirming the threat was not credible.

Students were released at the normal end of the day, allowing families to follow regular pick-up and after-school schedules.
