After falling to the Jacksonville Jaguars in on Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers have quickly turned around for an NFC West showdown at SoFi Stadium on Thursday night that will give the winning team a leg up in the battle for the division.
San Francisco has started 3-1, but the injuries have piled up, and they’ll be without quarterback Brock Purdy, tight end George Kittle, defensive end Nick Bosa, safety Malik Mustapha, left guard Ben Bartch and wide receivers Brandon Aiyuk, Ricky Pearsall, Jauan Jennings and Jordan Watkins.
Los Angeles has also gone 3-1 through the first four weeks, and they’re coming off of their most complete win of the season in Week 4, where they beat the Indianapolis Colts 27-20. The Rams won’t have cornerback Ahkello Witherspoon and linebacker Keir Thomas II and will likely be without right tackle Rob Havenstein and tight end Tyler Higbee, who were both listed as doubtful on Wednesday’s injury report.
As we look forward to the primetime contest, let’s take a look at who some of the top expert are taking for 49ers vs. Rams in Week 5.
