Visalia police arrested a wanted felon early Friday after a vehicle pursuit that ended at a local residence, authorities said.

Around 2:40 a.m., a Visalia officer attempted to stop a vehicle near Linwood Street and Myrtle Avenue for a mechanical violation.

The driver, later identified as Quentin Osborne, 54, failed to yield, prompting a pursuit that traveled north on Linwood Street, east on Noble Avenue, and onto eastbound Highway 198 via the Demaree on-ramp, police said.

Osborne continued toward Farmersville, made a U-turn through the dirt median, then headed westbound on Highway 198 before turning north on Road 182.

The chase continued along county roads until the vehicle stopped at a residence in the 17000 block of Charter Oak Drive in Visalia.

Osborne fled on foot but was quickly taken into custody.  Authorities said he had an active felony warrant for spousal rape and domestic violence.

He was booked into the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility on charges of felony evading and his outstanding warrants.

No injuries or property damage were reported.
