Tulare Police Arrest Man After Knife Robbery in McDonald’s at Love’s Truck Stop

Police arrested a man Wednesday morning after a robbery at a McDonald’s at Love’s Truck Stop in Tulare.

Tulare Police Department officials said dispatch received multiple reports of a possible robbery at 7:27 a.m.

While officers were en route, they learned the suspect was still on scene demanding money and brandishing a knife.

Officers arrived and saw the suspect, identified as Deaunta Deshawn Stephens, running toward the freeway.

After a chase, police arrested Stephens. A gun was found near him at the time of his arrest, police said.
