Kern County sheriff’s deputies recovered more than $200,000 worth of stolen electronics and arrested four people after stopping a box truck early Wednesday, authorities said.

Deputies assigned to the Tehachapi substation spotted the truck around 7 a.m. near the intersection of Tehachapi Boulevard and Tucker Road, the sheriff’s office said.

Authorities conducted a traffic stop and found 19 unopened Apple iPhone boxes in the cab with another 170 unopened boxes in the cargo area.

The driver, Phillip Lomeli, 27, was cited for driving on a suspended license. Passenger Veanessa Alfaro, 32, had an outstanding warrant.

Dion Rutherford, 41, and Rosio Tapia, 33, were found in the cargo area with bags of stolen electronics.

All four Los Angeles-area residents were booked into the Lerdo Justice Facility on multiple felony charges, officials said.
