Kern County Authorities Uncover Illegal Casino in Bakersfield, Seize Cash and Machine CPUs

Kern County sheriff’s deputies uncovered an illegal casino in Bakersfield on Sunday, August 17, 2025, seizing cash and gambling machines but making no arrests. (Kern County SO)

Kern County sheriff’s deputies discovered an illegal gambling casino operating in Bakersfield on Sunday, authorities said.

Deputies from the Metropolitan Patrol Division located the operation around 8 a.m. in the 900 block of North Chester Avenue, the Kern County Sheriff’s Office said.

A search warrant was executed, and investigators seized more than $5,000 in cash, numerous slot machine CPUs and other evidence of illegal gambling, officials said.
