Clovis police arrested eight people and towed four vehicles during a DUI checkpoint held Friday night on westbound Herndon Avenue at Helm Avenue.

Of the 725 vehicles that passed through the checkpoint, officers screened 323 drivers, the department told GV Wire.

One driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, while four others were arrested for driving without a license.

Three more were taken into custody for driving with a suspended license.
