Two suspects are behind bars after a commercial burglary at a Dollar General in Fowler, the Fowler Police Department said on Monday.
Officers responded to the store on July 15 and, following an investigation, identified two individuals believed to be involved.
With assistance from the Adult Compliance Team, one suspect was arrested within days, and the second was taken into custody not long after, police said.
Authorities said the stolen property was recovered.
According to Fowler police, both suspects have prior theft-related offenses and now face felony charges under Proposition 36, which allows for stricter sentencing for repeat offenders.
