Authorities are searching for a stolen piece of heavy equipment valued at $300,000 that was taken from a work site near Road 16 and Avenue 14 around midnight Sunday, the Madera County Sheriff’s Office said.

The stolen item is a Caterpillar motor grader marked with a “D55” logo. It was last seen near Road 19 and Avenue 13, deputies said.
