Fresno police are investigating a homicide after a man was fatally shot Monday evening in northwest Fresno.
Officers responded at 6:52 p.m. near State and Acacia avenues and found Kuvar Kumar, 33, unresponsive.
Despite life-saving efforts, Kumar died at the scene.
Homicide detectives believe Kumar was arriving home when he was shot.
They are canvassing the neighborhood for witnesses and potential surveillance footage.
