Madera County Trespassing Call Leads to Arrest, Firearm Seizure

A Mariposa woman was arrested Friday evening after a trespassing report led deputies to recover a loaded firearm, according to the Madera County Sheriff’s Office.

Just before 8 p.m., deputies responded to a trespassing call on Road 206. By the time they arrived, the suspects had already fled the area.

Deputies began canvassing for the vehicle and located a matching vehicle near Highway 41 and Avenue 15.

Inside, they found a loaded 9mm handgun.

One suspect, identified a Kristina Lura, 42, of Mariposa, was taken into custody.

The other occupants were cleared and released.
