Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

For the first time in its 17-year history, Outside Lands is inviting fans to take the stage.

The 2025 edition of the iconic Golden Gate Park music festival, running Aug. 8–10, will feature an open mic contest hosted by Bay Area group Rainbow Girls.

Winners will get the chance to kick off each day’s performances on the Duboce Triangle stage — a new, intimate venue nestled in McLaren Pass.

Festival organizers announced Tuesday that the contest is open to all Outside Lands ticket holders, marking a rare opportunity for fans to become performers at one of the West Coast’s biggest music events.

The Duboce Triangle stage lineup also includes DJ sets from Mayer Hawthorne, Kate Bollinger, Electric Feels, and The Emo Night Tour, among others.

Designed as a shaded lounge space next to Wine Lands, the stage offers a more relaxed vibe amid the sprawling festival grounds.

Want to show off your skills at Outside Lands? Join the contest for your chance to perform at the Duboce Triangle here.

The application states that submissions must be entered by Aug. 8.

About Outside Lands 2025

Now in its 17th year, Outside Lands returns Aug. 8–10, to San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park with headliners Tyler, The Creator, Hozier, and Doja Cat.

The festival blends world-class music with immersive art, food, and culture experiences.

Returning favorites include the SOMA house and techno stage, Dolores’ inclusive dance floor, and City Hall — where couples can legally wed.

Tickets, shuttles, and more information are available at www.SFOutsideLands.com.
