For the first time in its 17-year history, Outside Lands is inviting fans to take the stage.
The 2025 edition of the iconic Golden Gate Park music festival, running Aug. 8–10, will feature an open mic contest hosted by Bay Area group Rainbow Girls.
Winners will get the chance to kick off each day’s performances on the Duboce Triangle stage — a new, intimate venue nestled in McLaren Pass.
Festival organizers announced Tuesday that the contest is open to all Outside Lands ticket holders, marking a rare opportunity for fans to become performers at one of the West Coast’s biggest music events.
The Duboce Triangle stage lineup also includes DJ sets from Mayer Hawthorne, Kate Bollinger, Electric Feels, and The Emo Night Tour, among others.
Designed as a shaded lounge space next to Wine Lands, the stage offers a more relaxed vibe amid the sprawling festival grounds.
The application states that submissions must be entered by Aug. 8.
