California Gov. Gavin Newsom didn’t hold back in a recent podcast interview, sharply criticizing President Donald Trump over his immigration policies and behavior, Vanity Fair reports.

Speaking on The Shawn Ryan Show, Newsom referred to Trump as a “son of a bitch,” citing the president’s decision to deploy the National Guard to Los Angeles and conduct ICE raids.

“They’re sitting there on horses with American flags, running through soccer fields, scaring kids,” Newsom said. “That’s what I don’t like about this son of a bitch. He calls me ‘Newscum.’ How do I explain that to my kid?”

Newsom also criticized Vice President JD Vance, who recently visited California. In a post on X, Newsom accused Vance of avoiding policy debates, writing, “Probably to detain Mickey Mouse at this rate.” In response to another Newsom post about Vance at Disneyland, the vice president replied, “Had a great time, thanks.”
