Fresno police arrested a 19-year-old man after finding him asleep in a parked car with a handgun on his lap near Marks and McKinley avenues.
Northwest officers responded to the area and located the vehicle with its windows rolled down and the suspect asleep inside, the Fresno Police Department said Tuesday.
Officers safely retrieved the weapon and took the man into custody without incident.
A second firearm was found on the floorboard where the suspect had been sitting.
Police say one of the guns was reported stolen and the other was not registered to the man.
He was booked into the Fresno County Jail on multiple firearm-related charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen handgun.
