After losing both of his owners within months, a 5-year-old cattle dog named Oswald — better known as Ozzy — faced an uncertain future.

But thanks to a group of local animal lovers, he’s now wagging his way into a happier chapter.

When Ozzy’s family could no longer care for him, Fresno-based rescue Mell’s Mutts stepped in, finding him a cozy foster home complete with two new canine roommates — one big, one small.

Since then, the sweet and mellow heeler mix has been living his best life. Ozzy enjoys group walks (he’s working on shedding a few pounds), following his humans from room to room, and playing with toys like a pup half his age.

Neutered, vaccinated, potty trained, and cat-approved, Ozzy is ready for a forever home.

To adopt this calm companion, contact Mell’s Mutts — he’s more than just cute, he’s a heart-healer.

Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application for review to ensure the best match for each pup.
