Now that operations at Madera Community Hospital are into full swing, the medical center has found a new CEO.
The hospital board earlier this month named Sony Sidhu to lead the hospital, according to a news release from American Advanced Management.
Sidhu comes to Madera by way of Modesto’s Central Valley Specialty Hospital, where she served as CEO, working there for six years, according to her LinkedIn.
“I am honored to serve the dedicated team at Madera Community Hospital, whose commitment and resilience made the reopening of this essential hospital a reality,” said Sidhu. “This team has achieved a monumental accomplishment, and I look forward to working together to expand access to care and ensure every patient in Madera receives the excellent care they deserve.”
Madera Hospital Adding ICU Dialysis, Expanding Imaging Services
Sidhu replaces Steve Stark, who led the hospital during the reopening. Stark will return to Gridley to be closer to family, according to the news release.
Madera Hospital reopened in March after closing at the beginning of 2023. The 103-bed hospital now operates with emergency services, labs, imaging, medical-surgical center, and ICU services.
Also at the hospital are inpatient and ICU dialysis services, interventional radiology, 3D mammography system, and MRI imaging.
Sidhu, who is board certified in nursing executive leadership, holds a doctorate of nursing practice from UC San Francisco and a Master of Healthcare Administration, according to a news release from American Advanced Management.
Sidhu brings two decades of experience in health care leadership, critical care, and hospital operations. The news release credited Sidhu for her ability to lead major hospital transformations and reduce employee turnover.
“Sony is an exceptional leader with a clear vision and a deep commitment to high-quality, compassionate care,” said Madera Community Hospital Board Chair Deidre de Silva. “Her energy, integrity, and proven track record of hospital leadership make her the right person to lead Madera Community Hospital into the future.”
