A 24-year-old Clovis man was killed Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at a rural Fresno County intersection, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 2:35 p.m. at the intersection of DeWolf and South avenues.
CHP said the man was driving a Subaru northbound on DeWolf when he failed to stop at a posted stop sign and entered the intersection.
At the same time, a 55-year-old man from Parlier was driving a Ford eastbound on South Avenue, which has no stop sign. The Ford struck the left side of the Subaru, CHP said.
The Clovis man died due to his injuries. The driver of the Ford sustained moderate injuries.
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and investigators do not believe alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
