Fourth of July enforcement operation in Tulare County led to the seizure of approximately 300 pounds of illegal fireworks and multiple citations, fire officials said.

The Tulare County Fire Department said its fire investigators, in coordination with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, conducted full enforcement efforts during the holiday.

Authorities also reminded the public that all fireworks, including those classified as “Safe and Sane,” are banned in unincorporated areas of the county.

Fireworks of any kind are strictly prohibited in the mountain and foothill regions.
