Bentley may not have a cape, but this “supermutt” has more than earned his superhero title.
The 5-year-old, 25-pound mix of mystery breeds has spent nearly two years with a local rescue after he showed up unannounced — and unbothered — on a Good Samaritan’s front porch. He had a collar and rabies tag, but no owner was ever found.
“He just appeared at my front door,” said Mell Garcia, founder of Mell’s Mutts.

Bentley has been charming volunteers ever since with his boundless energy and comedic personality. He loves running, jumping, playing, and pretending he’s still a puppy — though he also knows when to hit pause and settle in for a good cuddle.
Now, almost two years to the day since he trotted into their lives, the rescue is hoping someone will finally make Bentley a permanent part of their pack.
Bentley may be a supermutt by DNA, but around here, he’s just plain super.
