A man was shot and killed Thursday evening near Griffith Way and Hughes Avenue in Fresno, police said.

Officers responded to a six-round ShotSpotter activation at 6:51 p.m. and found Nicholas Bolanos, 33, hunched over and bleeding from the chest.

He was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died.

Homicide detectives interviewed witnesses at the scene and are continuing to search for leads. No arrests have been made.
