A wildfire burning near Highway 41 and Avenue 11 in Madera County’s Rolling Hills area has prompted evacuation advisories for two zones, officials said Monday.

The Madera County Sheriff’s Office issued an evacuation advisory for zones MAD-E1581 and MAD-E1641 as crews respond to what is being called the Rolling Fire.

Residents are urged to prepare for possible evacuation and leave early if they feel threatened, especially those needing extra time or with pets and livestock.

Authorities warned that visibility in the area may be limited due to smoke and traffic could be affected. Drivers are asked to use caution and consider alternate routes.

Residents can find their evacuation zones at MaderaAware.com and are encouraged to sign up for emergency alerts at mcalert.org. They can also receive updates by texting their ZIP code to 888777.

Anyone needing evacuation assistance should call (559) 675-7770. In an emergency, call 911.
