Firefighters early Friday morning contained a wildland fire that broke out near Medford and Frazier roads in Auberry, CalFire said in a statement.
The blaze scorched just over one acre before crews stopped its spread, officials said.
No injuries were reported and firefighters remained on scene through late morning to monitor hot spots.
