Authorities are tracking a bear spotted early Friday morning on the north side of Selma, police said.

The bear was first seen near Goldridge and Allan streets, according to the Selma Police Department.

Authorities said passerby last reported seeing the animal at Wright Street and Dinuba Avenue at 5:10 a.m.

The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office deployed a drone to assist with the search, and officials from California Fish and Game are on site.
