The Downtown Fresno Partnership announced that they will be bringing back its Market on Kern event, this time with longer hours.
The weekly farmers market on Kern Street alongside the Fresno Convention Center brings together farmers, cooks, bakers, musicians, DJs, and artists every Wednesday from May through October — so long as its below 105 degrees.
This year, it will run 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“This is a new and improved season of the Market on Kern, bringing together an incredible medley of local vendors and the community,” said Elliott Balch, CEO of the partnership said in a statement. “This market is part of how we create the unique experience of living, working, and playing in Downtown Fresno.”
Fresh Produce, Prepared Foods, Handcrafted Items at Market
Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer is set to deliver opening remarks at the event.
The market is expected to feature 25 vendors offering a mix of produce, handcrafted goods and prepared food. Organizers also plan themed market days throughout the season.
Although the vendor roster is currently full, the partnership is accepting applications for future openings.
