A Pixley man was convicted this week of child molestation, prosecutors announced.
Justin Mills, 36, was found guilty Tuesday of six felony counts of committing lewd acts upon a child under the age of 14, the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office said.
The jury also determined that some of the acts involved substantial sexual conduct.
The crimes occurred between 2010 and 2011 and involved a girl, officials said.
Mills is scheduled to be sentenced June 9 in Tulare County Superior Court and faces up to 16 years in state prison, prosecutors said. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.
The case was prosecuted by Supervising Deputy District Attorney Katrina Brownson and investigated by the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
