An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a Fresno barbershop that left one man dead and two others injured, authorities said Tuesday.

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation at Los Viejones Barbershop at 501 N. Van Ness Ave. around 5:12 p.m. on April 19, the Fresno Police Department said in a statement.

Investigators found evidence that a shooting had occurred both inside and outside the business.

Three victims were found— two at the scene and a third nearby. One of the victims, Jampier Quintero, 44, was taken to Community Regional Medical Center, where he died the following day.

Two other victims, Hispanic males ages 20 and 17, were also treated for gunshot wounds and later released.

Homicide detectives identified Kobe Chantharangsy as the suspect in the barbershop shooting. Investigators also linked him to a separate shooting that occurred on April 18 near Recreation and Gettysburg avenues, where a 19-year-old man was shot three times.

Chantharangsy was arrested on Saturday by plainclothes detectives and booked into the Fresno County Jail on charges of murder and several other offenses related to both shootings.

Police said Adrian Echeverria was also charged as an accessory in the barbershop shooting.
