The Tulare County Sheriff’s Office reported that two other children from the home also tested positive for cocaine.

Ashley Flores, 29, and Casey Willbanks, 32, now face three counts of child endangerment, one count for each of the three children, authorities said.

Original Story

A 9-month-old baby who was taken to a hospital for a high fever tested positive for cocaine, prompting the arrest of a Lindsay couple early Tuesday, authorities said.

Detectives with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office responded to the home just before 5 a.m. after the child’s toxicology results were reported by medical staff, the agency said in a statement.

The child’s parents, identified as Ashley Flores, 29, and Casey Willibanks, 32, were arrested following a search of their residence, where detectives said they found narcotics.

Both were booked on suspicion of child endangerment and possession of illicit drugs.

Child Welfare Services removed the infant and two other children from the home.

Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at (559) 733-6218.
