A nonprofit organization dedicated to providing dignified burials for abandoned and unidentified children will hold a ceremony Saturday morning in Fresno to honor five infants, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office said.
Garden of Innocence-Fresno County will lay to rest Nathan, Faith, Violet, Amanda, and Christina during a public service at 10 a.m. at Mt. View Cemetery, 1411 W. Belmont Ave.
The group holds the ceremonies twice a year to ensure every child receives a loving farewell, the sheriff’s office said.
Local leaders, donors, and community members are invited to attend the emotional service, where poems and prayers will be dedicated to each baby.
Organizers say they are always in need of small blankets and Beanie Babies to accompany the children during burial.
Donations can be brought to the event or dropped off in advance at the cemetery office.
