Two opposing groups of protesters gathered Saturday morning outside the Tesla dealership at Herndon and Palm Avenue in Fresno, highlighting the growing divide over Elon Musk’s influence in politics and business.
Dozens of pro-Musk supporters, organized by “Flip It Red USA,” carried signs with slogans like “Making Liberals Cry” and “We Voted for Doge” in what was billed as a “Tesla & Doge Support Rally.” The demonstration aimed to show solidarity with the electric vehicle manufacturer and its controversial CEO.
“We’re out here to show support for Doge, Elon Musk, Tesla, and this administration,” said Josh Fulfer, a pro-Musk protester. “As you can see by the horns honking, a lot of people’s with us on this.”
The pro-Musk rally was met by a larger counter-protest dubbed “Tesla Takedown,” which drew approximately 100 people. One counter-protester expressed concern about Musk’s political influence, stating, “Elon Musk was not elected by the people. He doesn’t represent the people… Yet he has tremendous power in our government.”

Demonstrations Reflect National Debate
While there were verbal exchanges between the groups, the demonstrations remained largely peaceful. Both sides received supportive honks from passing vehicles throughout the morning.
The competing protests reflect the broader national debate over Musk’s growing role in American politics and his companies’ influence on public policy. Despite the heated rhetoric, no incidents of violence were reported.
