In the last DUI enforcement period on Saturday, March 22, the Fresno police arrested 12 drivers on suspicion of DUI.
Officers will be on the streets from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m., looking for impaired drivers, police said. Authorities remind the public that DUI is not limited to alcohol, as some prescription and over-the-counter medications can affect driving ability.
While marijuana use is legal in California, driving under its influence remains illegal.
